Meet Hana
Have you heard the scuttlebutt?
- I’m Hana – not Hannah or Hanna. This is important. If you get that bit right, we’ll get along swimmingly.
- Over a decade of experience wrangling words, with an academic background in English.
- Professionally writing for more than five years and planning on continuing to write until my future grandkids confiscate my laptop.
- Owned by three cats and two dogs. It’s utter chaos, always.
- Happiest when surrounded by friends and family – oh, and food.
- Degree in English with a dissertation focusing on forensic linguistics.
- Airfryer convert.
How does this work?
So, you have the audience but not the right words to say? That’s where I come in.
You have a topic in mind but no clue how to get from the idea to the beautiful, bouncing article. I take as much information as you have available, and I run with it. (More Forrest Gump than Baywatch, mind.)
You’ll often find me elbow-deep in scientific journals or studies, plucking out tasty information morsels and running them through the ol’ noggin until they’re more like something anyone can understand.
Working together is a partnership, so what do you get from working with me?
- Briefing form to set clear expectations
- Extensive research
- Clear and direct communication
- Up-to-date sources of information
- Adherence to style guides
- Questions, questions, and more questions so I can pin down your target audience
- SEO support
- Zero pet fur on your articles – the beauty of working digitally
Why Hana?
Why choose me? To quote Ursula – “It’s what I do – it’s what I live for.”
There’s so much misinformation that can confuse and cause harm that it’s super important to battle that with accurate and easily accessible information. And that’s what I absolutely love doing – fighting misinformation with the facts.
I’m like Superman but without the cape – or the killer abs.
Empowerment is at the heart of what I do
Nobody should be subjected to misinformation, whether as important as healthcare or as trivial as cocktail recipes. That’s why I research every piece of content I produce, ensuring clarity and accuracy for every audience.
I also know that everyone is different, with different experiences and lives, so I make sure to use inclusive language that creates relatability and value for all readers. Some things hit differently if you’re not the stereotypical white male that medical research is historically based on.
If you’re the type of person to call others snowflakes, you won’t want to work with me.
